THE STANDARD Roe Street, Northbridge

project BLAK was introduced to this understated building sitting on the fringe of Northbridge in 2014. We developed design concepts and layouts for the space, working with the buildings bones and volume to re create it into an inner city green space.

We designed the interior and exterior architecture, including converting a shipping container into an outdoor bar with a city view rooftop space. 

The design process was based heavily on using sustainable materials, finishes and fittings. project BLAK produced the approval and construction documentation for the venue including the sourcing and collecting of recycled building materials for construction. 

Something you may not know is that there is a hidden message in ‘Morse Code’ using recycled glass bricks that runs along the bar facade.
